Bale dindu mosaru sasive or banana stem raita recipe explained with step by step pictures and a video. Baale dindina sasive is a very easy and tasty side dish for rice or chapati that can be prepared in very less time. Baale dindu sasive is prepared using banana stem, curd, coconut, green chilli, mustard seeds and a tempering.

Sasive and thambli are curd or yoghurt based gravy recipes. Sasive can be served as one of the side dishes in a multi coarse meal. Sasive is generally prepared by grinding coconut, chili and mustard. Mosaru sasive can be served with hot rice, chapati or rice bath.

Bale dindu sasive recipe

Preparation time: 5 min
Cooking time: 10 min
Serves: 2

Ingredients: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

  1. 7 - 8cm length banana stem
  2. 1/2 cup curd
  3. 1 tsp salt or as per your taste

Ingredients for grinding: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

  1. 1/2 cup grated coconut
  2. 2 green chillies
  3. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds

Ingredients for tempering: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

  1. 1 red chilli
  2. 1 tbsp cooking oil
  3. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  4. Few curry leaves

Instructions for making bale dindu sasive:

  1. Remove all the outer layers of Banana stem.banana stem for bale dindu mosaru sasive or banana stem raita
  2. Make it into slices and remove the extra fibres.chopping banana stem for bale dindu mosaru sasive or banana stem raita
  3. Finely chop the banana stem slices. And put it in the lemon water for 10 minutes (required water and 1 tsp lemon juice). This avoids the color change.soaking banana stem for bale dindu mosaru sasive or banana stem raita
  4. Take the chopped banana stem pieces in a container. Add 1/2 tsp salt.chopped banana stem for bale dindu mosaru sasive or banana stem raita
