Mandakki dose recipe explained with step by step pictures and a video. This is a fermented murmura dosa and is prepared using rice, puffed rice and methi seeds. This is a no dal and no poha dosa recipe. Mandakki dosa can be served with coconut chutney or sambar.

Mandakki dose recipe

Preparation time: 13 hours
Cooking time: 30 min
Serves: 2

Ingredients: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

  1. 1 cup rice
  2. 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
  3. 2 cups mandakki or puffed rice
  4. Ghee or oil for cooking
  5. Salt as per your taste

Instructions for making mandakki dose:

  1. Soak the rice and methi seeds for 4 - 5 hours.soaking rice and methi seeds for mandakki dose or murmura dosa recipe

  3. Drain the water and take the soaked rice and methi seeds in a mixie jar. Grind it into a fine batter by adding required water.grinding rice for mandakki dose or murmura dosa recipe
  4. Transfer the ground batter into a container.batter for mandakki dose or murmura dosa recipe
  5. Next take the soaked mandakki in the mixie jar. Grind it into a fine batter by adding required water.grinding puffed rice for mandakki dose or murmura dosa recipe
